Spooky Block Blast belongs to the block puzzle genre, blending familiar mechanics with a festive Halloween theme. The blocks feature holiday-style icons and colors, giving the game a unique look while retaining the classic gameplay of the Block Blast style. The main goal is to play as long as possible to achieve high scores and set new records. Players place individual shapes onto the grid, completing horizontal rows or vertical columns from end to end to clear them and keep the board open.
Unique "Big Blocks" Mechanic
What gives Spooky Block Blast its unique depth is the "Big Blocks" mechanic. When you arrange identical blocks into a cluster of six or nine, sharing the same color and icon, they merge into a single large block. Notably, if even a small part of this large block becomes part of a completed line, the entire large block is destroyed.
Spooky Block Blast Gameplay
In each turn, three random shapes appear in the area below the game board. Players drag and drop each shape into an empty spot. A new set of three blocks appears only after all three current blocks have been placed on the board.
Completing rows and columns
Observe the shape of each block before placing it. When a horizontal row or vertical column is completely filled, that entire line is cleared. The resulting empty space allows you to continue placing larger shapes. The game ends when there is no suitable spot left for any of the waiting blocks.
