Basic Rules
Horizontal : All 9 rows must have all of the numbers from 1 to 9 . They can be any order that you want , but can not be repeated .
Vertical Column : Every column of 9 cells must also have all numbers from 1 to 9 without duplicates .
3x3 Block : Each 3x3 block (there are 9 blocks in a 9x9 grid) can contain only one number from 1 to 9.
These rules are simple, but require a lot of concentration and sharp logical thinking to finish the puzzle, especially at Expert and Guru levels.
Tips for Effective Play
Start with the cell with the least number of choices: Find rows, columns or 3x3 blocks that have lots of numbers already filled in. With this arrangement, the missing number is easy to see.
Use the elimination method: Remove numbers that can not be in the cell based on the numbers that are already in the row , column , and 3x3 block .
Write down possible numbers: Use the notes feature to write down the numbers that can go in the blank cell, this will help you to systematize your thinking and avoid mistakes.
Use advanced strategies: On hard levels, try tactics like X-Wing or Swordfish to find the exact location of the numbers.
