Instead of the familiar square grid, Prism Blast 3D moves block-placement mechanics into a circular space featuring interlocking rings and spokes. Players drag blocks from the tray onto the board, finding the right spots to fill a ring or spoke and trigger an explosion. The challenge intensifies as "grey junk" segments constantly encroach from the outside, shrinking the available space and making every placement decision critical.
What makes Prism Blast 3D special?
While it belongs to the puzzle genre, Prism Blast 3D stands out by completely reimagining the game board's shape. Rather than arranging pieces on a square grid, players interact with a 3D circular board offering multiple connection paths. The goal isn't simply to place as many blocks as possible; you must complete entire rings or spokes to clear them, freeing up space to accommodate future blocks.
Constant pressure from "grey junk"
Levels become increasingly tense due to "grey junk" segments slowly advancing from the perimeter. These occupy space and do not disappear on their own; clearing them requires triggering a well-timed explosion.
How to play
On each turn, a block appears in the tray below. Drag the block onto the circular board and place it in your desired spot. Filling a ring or spoke clears that area, creating more space.
Controls
- Drag block: Move the block from the tray to the board.
- Tap cell: Select the direction or position to clear.
- Release: Finalize the block placement.
- Tap outside: Cancel the clearing selection if needed.
Player-Assist Power-up System
- Undo: Reverts the previous move; useful when a placement doesn't yield the expected result.
- Refresh Tray: Refreshes the pending blocks, opening up different placement possibilities.
- Swap: Switches the current block selection to find a better fit for the available space.
- +5 Turns: Adds extra turns, extending playtime when the board is nearing its limit.
- Hammer: Selects a specific tile on the board to destroy instantly; especially useful when "grey junk" or a tricky spot is blocking your strategy.
